Really? What school do you work at because you are obviously not a parent.

I agree! We've had our daughter and son their for over five years- Its hard to think people would say this. Our kids started their in 2nd grade and Kindergarten. I am really pleased with what they are doing with the school. I know all three of the managers and they are all westerners (not Chinese). If the school was so bad why is their almost 4,000 students enrolled? Is everyone ignorant and the young man posting (your mum) smart? I think not. I called the school when I seen this and a friend of mine in upper middle school named some guy from his department that quit in the middle of the night and went back New Zealand for posting this- if you are on the "WeChat" group you soon find out there was some immature teacher working there with another guy from this list- sad to hear that they had such a time, but from our perspective those two obviously haven't taught long enough in their own country to understand what they are talking about. On a more positive note Xiwai International School has done a lot for our kids and I plan to continue with them.

In my professional opinion as a teacher at Xiwai for 5 years- I find that it is one of the most interesting schools to work in. The management at the school is western (not grueling rote-bosses) and they offer opportunity for advancement if you don't mind putting in some time with the kids. I've worked in Primary as well as middle school and I got to say that I'm going to miss this school as I head back home from China after 5 lovely years- If I decide to go abroad again (and I very well might) I would surely consider coming back to a place that has been my home aways from home. All the best to everyone that worked with me this year- Richard Z.
